FAQs and Answers

Is this spam or a legitimate training?

This is a legitimate training. More information is available on our website: tcnj.edu/hazingprevention.

What organization do I select when signing up?

When creating an account, you should put TCNJ Student Hazing Prevention under Organization.

What is the access code I enter when signing up?

When creating a new or merging an existing account, you should enter the access code that was emailed to you.

Why does my training still say “in progress” when I completed it?

It can take a bit to change to “complete.” We recommend you double check if you completed the training shortly after it was released. If your training still shows as “in progress,” try clicking through each section of the module until you see check marks beside them.

What is hazing and why do I have to do this?

Campuses are required by the Stop Campus Hazing Act to provide training to all students. Every campus is providing training differently. You will learn what hazing is by completing the modules

Do graduate students need to complete this?

Yes. If you are a graduate student and received an email from nohazing@tcnj.edu, you are required to complete the training. While some graduate students don’t participate in on-campus groups or activities, hazing can happen in other ways.

I’m not part of any organizations, do I have to do this?

Yes. While hazing does happen in organizations, it can happen outside of them too. All students are required to complete this training due to the Stop Campus Hazing Act.

Do I have to complete all the modules?

Yes. You have to complete the TCNJ Hazing Prevention, Survey, and A Path to Hazing Prevention.

Can I do this training on my phone or do I need my laptop?

While you are able to complete the training from your phone, many students find it easier to complete from their laptop.

What do I do if I get a secure browser issue?

Type plaidlms.com without http in front. This has resolved the issue for other students who received the secure browser warning.

What if I have a server or other tech issue?

Try another web browser (Chrome is preferred) and enable pop ups for Plaid LMS. Submit a ticket to Plaid LMS if you have future issues: https://beingplaid.my.site.com/s/
